Mercedes-Benz seems aggressive with its product expansion plans for the Indian car market. The company just launched the performance oriented GLA 45 AMG, and is now gearing up to launch the all-new Mercedes C Class. If rumors are to be believed, the German luxury carmaker will launch the new C-Class in November, 2015. The bookings for the car are expected to commence anytime soon.
The new Mercedes-Benz C Class is already on sale in the international market, and it will replace the current generation C-Class in India. Interestingly, the new model has already arrived on Indian surface. Rumours also suggest that the dealer stock for the existing C-Class is already over at most of the Mercedes India dealerships, and the company has already started importing the latest generation sedan in large numbers.
The all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class is expected to be launched in C200 (Petrol) and C220 (Diesel) engine options. A limited edition model is also expected to come at launch. The C200 model will be powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol unit that churns out a maximum power output of bhp at 5,500 rpm and 30.5 kgm of torque between 1200-4000 rpm. It accelerates to 100kmph from zero in just 7.3 seconds and hits a top speed of 235kmph. The C220 CDI is the 2143cc 4-cylinder oil burner producing 167bhp and 40.7kgm of torque. Both powertrains will be coupled to a 7G-Tronic 7-speed automatic gearbox.
