The recent jolt received by the India’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki India in terms of low sales has left the car maker contemplating ways to enhance domestic sales. Among the upcoming launches from the car maker, a renewed version of WagonR has been added. Speculations suggest that the 2015 WagonR could also be offered in diesel engine, however it is premature to comment on that possibility. Buzz has it that engineers at MSI are working meticulously to make 2015 WagonR more fuel efficient. Sources close to the development revealed that Maruti has started testing the upgraded WagonR which looks strikingly similar to the one sold in Japanese auto market.

It is being expected that the company will not give comprehensive facelift to the hatchback, minor cosmetic changes could be seen in the new avatar and additions of new features are also likely. Tweaked head lights and tail lights are likely to be equipped in the new version. The tail lights could also come with LED lights. We expect that there will not be any major change in the design of the hatchback, however auto pundits opine that refreshed WagonR could share cues with WagonR Stingray. Among other exterior changes the hatchback is likely to come with a taller airdam and reworked front and rear bumpers.

Interiors will also receive modifications, the centre console could be borrowed from Zen Estilo. A two tone colour scheme, black and beige could be featured inside the cabin.
