Maruti Suzuki India has started dispatching the much-awaited Swift Dzire facelift to its dealerships. The dealers have already started showcasing the updated Dzire to public ahead of its launch. Bookings for the car have already commenced, while the launch is likely to take place in coming weeks. Interestingly, the prices for the sedan have been leaked on the interweb. The entry level variant is priced at Rs. 5.07 lakh while the top-spec model is tagged at Rs. 7.81 lakh, claims GaadiWaadi.com.
Maruti Suzuki Swift facelift gets changes to both exteriors and interiors. The sedan gets new front fascia with a new chrome grille flanked by slightly modified headlamps with smoked clusters. It also gets newly designed bumper with enclosures for fog lamps. The side profile, however, remains unchanged, the wheel arches are now fitted with newly designed alloy wheels. The rear profile of the sedan gets new bumper, and slightly modified tail lamps.
The interior changes are very subtle, and features are lifted from the Swift hatchback. It is equipped with a new Bluetooth-enabled music system, keyless entry with push start/stop button, electrically adjustable and retractable outside rear view mirrors, new seat covers, and others. Under the hood are the same 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.3-litre multi-jet diesel engines. However, both the engines will be tuned to offer high fuel efficiency. It is expected that the slightly tweaked petrol and diesel engines will be benefited with a 10 per cent improvement in fuel efficiency.
