      2015 Honda Jazz details emerge ahead of Geneva Motor show, India launch due soon

      The Jazz hatchback from Honda has been one of the most anticipated hatchback that is due for launch accross the global market. As for the international market, the vehicle shall be launched at Geneva Motor Show, whereas it may be launched sometime sooner in the Indian market as well. Recently, sources has spotted the vehicle produced at Tapukara plant, Rajasthan being shipped to South Africa.

      The European trim of Honda Jazz is likely to receive 1.3 litre i-VTEC petrol engine that is stated to be based on Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology series. Mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or semi-automatic CVT transmission, the vehicle is likely to generate about 102 PS of power at 6,000 rpm. Reports of a hybrid version if launched, is likely to feature 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine with an electric motor that would be capable of delivering a combined power output of about 130 PS. As for the Indian market, the new Jazz is likely to get a new 1.5 liter i-DTEC turbo diesel engine.

      The upcoming Honda Jazz reportedly based on HR-V platform measures about 95 mm on the outside and features a longer wheelbase of about 30 mm. The company shall also introduce the innovative Magic Seats system for an enhanced driving experience. For comfortable ride, the hatchback gets MacPherson struts at the front and an H-type torsion beam at the rear. The vehicle gets a bigger boot space measuring about 354 Liters which stretches to about 884 litres with the rear seats down.
