Honda revealed their new iteration of the Civic with the 2015 Civic Type R at the ongoing 44th Tokyo Motor Show in Japan. This version was built with the sole aim of making the fastest front-wheel drive production car in the world and thus was tweaked and spiced up with the best in performance in form of engine performance, suspension and agile handling.

The 2015 Honda Civic Type R brings race car like performance to the normal road making it more aspirational than other offerings. Under the hood powering this madness is a 2.0-litre VTEC turbocharged engine that combines the benefits of a conventional VTEC and turbocharger. The end result is a massive power generation of 309 bhp and a higher torque rating of 400 Nm. Also, to make sure it has a quick transmission, the Civic Type R gets a 6-speed manual transmission.

In terms of design, the new Honda Civic Type R does radical in many aspects like the angular front profile with sharp headlights and strong central portion in black which is basically the large air-intake for the motor. Even to the side, there are large 19-inch performance tyres with dark black wheels complimented by a subtle red strip running around it. Both wheel arches has sufficient flares and the front section also has an outlet for heat dissipation

The rear profile of the 2015 Honda Civic Type R has to be the most interesting bit as it gets quad exhaust pipes with sporty splitters underneath the rear bumper. The real wide sporty spoiler really stands from the overall design making it look extremely athletic and stylish.
