Inside the cabin, the updated BMW X3 gets a new centre console with optional automatic climate control system (with high-gloss black panel) and wood paneling with pearl chrome highlights. The centre console features new cupholders with a sliding cover, while the steering wheel now has leather cover as standard. The new BMW X3 offers 550 litres of boot space, which can be extended up to 1,600 litres with the rear seat folded.

The 2015 X3 will get the updated 2.0-litre diesel engine that churns out a maximum power output of 192PS. This is the same engine which also does duty to the 1, 3 and 5 Series models and the X1 and X3 SUVs, however, it produces only 186PS. BMW claims along with the increase in power, the vehicle's fuel efficiency too has improved by 7.1 percent.
