Ford India seems to be working aggressively on its 2014 Fiesta sedan as the car has been spotted undergoing test runs several times around the country. Moreover, company’s official website also shows details regarding the new Fiesta sedan, hinting at the launch to happen soon. The car maker, however has not proclaimed any official date for the launch of new Fiesta. Ford had displayed 2014 Fiesta at the 12thAuto Expo last month, modifications given to the vehicle were visible in the form of several cosmetic changes. Fiesta has received tweaks in the front facade, an Aston Martin styled front grille, a reworked bumper, fog lamp housings and bonnet will be seen on the new Fiesta. Rear too gets a tweaked bumper and angular shaped tail lights.
Centre console will get black coloured accents, replacing the chrome accents present in the current Fiesta. A reworked steering wheel will also be housed inside the vehicle. There will be no changes in the engine line-up, the C-segment sedan will be packed with the same set of engines. The petrol variants will be housed with a 1.5 litre, 1499cc, engine that offers a maximum power and torque output of 81 PS at 6,045 RPM and 140 Nm at 4,500 RPM respectively. Diesel trims will be equipped with a 1.5 litre, 1,498cc, motor that engenders 67 PS of top power at 3,750 RPM along with a peak torque of 204 Nm between 2,000 to 2,750 RPM. A five speed manual transmission will be mated to the diesel and petrol motors, however automatic gearbox will also be offered on the petrol trim.
