The popular proverb, ‘First Impression is the last impression’, fits well on Ford’s beautiful sedan, Fiesta. Ford Fiesta is an epitome of right product with wrong price label. Despite offering several offers, discounts and price slash the company could not witness any increase in the sedan’s sales. In wake of increasing sedan’s sales in domestic market, the American car maker is readying to launch tweaked version of new Fiesta sedan. Rumours are rife that 2014 Fiesta sedan could break cover soon.Sources close to development have revealed that sedan’s stock has exhausted at Ford dealers and they have stopped accepting bookings for the sedan. Ford displayed new Fiesta at the 12thDelhi Motor Show, the sedan has also been spotted many times undergoing test runs in various locations across the country. If we go by rumours, Ford could bring new Fiesta in India by end of May or by beginning of June. Among the new additions, various cosmetic changes will be seen, a new colour, Copper Pulse will also be offered on the upgraded Fiesta. In the front, a new Aston martin inspired grille will be affixed on the sedan enhancing the appearance of the vehicle from front.Besides this, reworked bumpers and restyled fog lamps will also be equipped. Revivification has also been made to rear, prominent changes will be visible in the form of angular rear lamps and revised bumper. Inside the cabin, centre console will get chrome accents painted in black. A revivified steering wheel will also be embedded inside the cabin.
Under the hood, same set of engines will be housed as powered in the outgoing version. Petrol variants will get a 1.5 litre gasoline engine and diesel trims will be powered by a 1.5 litre diesel motor. Fiesta will be offered in manual transmission; however an automatic gearbox will also be made available in petrol trim.
