      2012 Mahindra Xylo facelift launched with a starting price of Rs 7.37 lakh

      2012 Mahindra Xylo, a new generation version of this popular multi utility vehicle (MUV), was launched in the Indian auto market on Wednesday. The all new Mahindra Xylo carries a number of new features along with a new face-lifted look and improved performance. The company is planning to launch this vehicle in the international market very soon.

      Rolled-out in five variants, the new Mahindra Xylo is shelved in the price segment of Rs 7.37 lakh to Rs 10.25 lakh. The new Xylo is about Rs 15,000 more expensive as compared to the older version of the car.

      Speaking at the occasion of the launching ceremony of the new Xylo, M&M chief executive for automotive division Pravin Shah said, "The new Xylo marks the sixth new launch from the Mahindra stable this fiscal."

      According to the company, there have been at least 50 new styling changes in the new 2012 Mahindra Xylo version. The new Xylo E9 is powered by a 2.2L mHawk engine which has been borrowed from popular Mahindra Scorpio model. Interestingly, the new Xylo model delivers a peak power of 120 bhp, strategically higher as compared to the 105 bhp of segment leaders Toyota Innova.

      The major attractions of the new Xylo include leather seats and theater effect lighting, parking assist, engine immobilizer, Anti-lock Braking and Electronic brake distribution, voice commands, and 2 DIN audio and many more.
