Volkswagen expects to draw a younger crowd for the two-door Polo GTi as it comes forth as more of a lifestyle brand. It is powered by a 1.8-litre four cylinder petrol turbocharged TSi engine which generates a massive 190bhp of power. Along with the automatic DSG, a manual option is also likely to be on offer that will enable the vehicle to sprint from 0 to 100kmph in just under seven seconds.

The front grille sports a red highlight on the last slat and a GTi badge that distinguishes it from a regular five-door version. The rear also gets a twin pod exhaust tip. As for the interior, the new model will get an all-black treatment unlike the beige and black combination seen on the regular version. Interested customers can expect some additional features along with the regular features that are offered in the Highland variant of the regular five-door Polo in India.

On the pricing aspect, as the new Polo GTi will be introduced in India via the CBU route, it is likely to be priced around Rs 25 lakh. More details about the new Polo GTi will be known in the coming days.
