The 11th season of Royal Enfield Himalayan Odyssey has started, head of marketing, Royal Enfield, Mr. Abhijit Singh Brar flagged off the current season from India Gate, in New Delhi. Monks were also present chanting prayers during the time of flagging off. 72 enthusiastic riders from across the country are a part of the 11th edition of Royal Enfield Himalayan Odyssey. These riders will ride through six passes and three mountain ranges, it is not going to be an easy ride for the participants as riders will also ride through Khardung La, the highest motorable road in the world.
The journey that started on June 21st will last for 17 long days and riders will cover a long distance of 2,700 kms. Motorcyclists will ride through places including Parwanoo, Narkhanda, Keylong, Sarchu via Kalpa and Kaza while on their way to Leh. On June 29, 2014 the company will celebrate Himalayan Reunion at Leh.
The celebration includes fun activities including several events, games, musical programmes, sharing individual experiences of their journey etc. After the reunion, motorcyclists will set the ball rolling for Hunder on July 1st and begin their journey towards Delhi where they started. 72 riders will ride to their destination New Delhi in a week’s time n July 7th, via covering places like Leh, keylong, Manali and Chandigarh.
