Books are usually published to attain knowledge but in a fortuitous turn of events, a book might just be worth your entire life saving. Opus Media Group, USA, has recently printed a book titled "The Official Formula One Opus BERNIE Edition”, also called “the Bernie”, which bears a price tag of a mighty $1 million. The book is named after the legendary overlord of Formula One racing championship, Bernie Ecclestone, and is a one-off edition only.

This book weighs a massive 37 kg and contains 852 pages, adorned with original signatures of the 22 F1 champions and Bernie Ecclestone himself. It took the sheer hardwork of the media group to create this piece of artefact, which arrives in a fibre case, like a worthy antiquity. The pricing has not been done in a momentary lapse but there are valid reasons which hypes the cost of this precious treatise. It holds all the significant incidents since 1950, which marked the beginning of Formula One, talking on the course of this sport event and acknowledged personalities associated with it.

The opus features few never seen before images that account the 850 odd pages of the book. Along with, the owner of the book will secure four passes for each day of every Grand Prix weekend in the 2014 calender. And the complimentary rewards do not end here as the owner will also have access to the different team paddocks, participating in the championship and a rare chance to sip on tea with Bernie Ecclestone. With such sumptuous and alluring offers, shedding $1 million seems justifiable for those who can spend this whopping amount.

Addressing the jubilant event, Karl Fowler, the CEO of Opus Media, said, “It might seem like a large sum of money, but with The Bernie you’re getting a great deal more than just an exceptional book – you’re getting absolute carte blanche to go anywhere and do anything, within reason, at every race throughout the season. It’s a freedom that, generally speaking, simply can’t be bought.”

Opus media has previously been associated with other books featuring the likes of Ferrari, Manchester United, NFL superbowl and Michael Jackson. But while creating The Bernie, the media group group had to bear hardships before they could finally execute this project. Getting the signatures of World Champions was an uphill task where the publishing team had to travel different regions of the globe to collect the autographs. Taking a span of 6 years to get completed, this book provides the most definitive look at the racing championship.

'The Official Formula One Opus BERNIE Edition' has been put on auction and has successfully procured three bids. Whoever becomes the final and official owner of this oeuvre of Formula one will be deemed a golden window for the motor racing event.
