Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift

Model Launch Date in India:

Mercedes-Benz officially unveiled the all-new 2026 S-Class in January 2026, and the flagship luxury sedan is confirmed to arrive in India, likely in the second half of the year, with local assembly continuing at Mercedes Benz’s Chakan plant.

Feature List:

Exterior highlights include a larger illuminated grille, illuminated Mercedes star emblem, digital micro-LED lighting, and refined aero design. Inside, it boasts an advanced MB.OS interface, multi-zone ambient lighting, heated and massaging seats (with heated seat belts), premium materials, and seating for five adults.

Engine, Performance, and Specifications:

The new S-Class continues with a mix of powertrains, from mild-hybrid six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines to a potent V8 and plug-in hybrid options. All engines benefit from more power and smoother delivery, while adaptive suspension and rear-axle steering ensure a composed ride and handling.

Variants:

Expect multiple trims, including luxury-focused and high-performance AMG variants, catering to a wide variety of buyers.

Safety:

When it comes to the S-Class, safety is paramount, with up to 15 airbags, advanced restraint systems, digital lighting for improved visibility, and a suite of driver-assist tech, including MB.Drive Assist Pro.

Competition:

The S-Class will rival the BMW 7 Series and the Audi A8, defending its status as the benchmark when it comes to ultra-luxury sedans.
