Mercedes-Benz G580 with EQ technology

Model launch date:

The Electric G-Wagen was unveiled on 24 April and is expected to launch in India by December 2024.

Variants:

The Electric G-Wagen is currently being offered in one fully loaded variant called the G580 with EQ power.

Feature List:

Exterior

The Electric G-Wagen sports the same iconic design as the ICE model with the only major exceptions being the front grille, charge port door, and the badging at the rear.

Interior

The interior is very similar to that of the ICE version with the same stacked layout, blocky elements and massive dual-digital displays dominating the front of the car. The second row is a bench seat with split folding functionality.

The official feature list includes dual digital displays, climate control with three zones, leather seats, wireless phone mirroring, 360-degree camera with transparent hood function, LED light package, connected car technology, and driver assistance systems.

Battery, powertrain, and specifications:

Mercedes has fitted this G580 with four motors, two in the front and two in the rear. Each motor makes 145bhp with a total of 579bhp and an impressive 1,164Nm of torque. You get a 0-100kmph time of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 180kmph.

Safety:

The G580 has not been subjected to any crash test safety ratings.
