Model Launch Date

The Mercedes-Benz CLA is positioned as the carmaker’s entry-level electric. Unveiled on 24 February, 2026, it is yet to be launched.

Features

Externally, the CLA gets an illuminated front grille with 142 integrated star elements, connected DRLs, LED headlamps, flushed door handles, 18-inch alloys, and coupe design cues like frameless doors and a sloping roofline.

Internally, the CLA gets fabric and leatherette upholstery with red stitching, floating centre console with cup holders and a wireless charging pad, 2+2 seating layout, and rear AC vents.

Battery, Motor, and Specifications

Based on an 800-volt architecture, the Mercedes CLA is powered by a 200kW (268bhp) RWD motor paired with a two-speed transmission system. This setup sources power from an 85.6kWh battery pack, giving it a claimed range of 792km.

0-100kmph comes in at 6.7 seconds. The electric can also add 400km range in 20 minutes via a 240kW DC fast charger.

The CLA gets features like a 14-inch touchscreen with the latest version of MB.OS, multi-AI compatibility (ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Bing Copilot), 10.25-inch instrument cluster, front row with heating and massage functions, fixed glass roof, aluminium pedals, and AMG-specific upholstery.

The CLA also gets a 405-litre boot, as well as a 101-litre frunk. It also has six USB-C ports, all supporting 100W fast charging.

Variants

The CLA comes in a sole CLA 250+ variant.

Safety

Rated as the safest car by Euro NCAP in 2025, the CLA is equipped with safety features like eight airbags, TPMS, ESP, Level 2 ADAS, 360° camera, and front and rear parking sensors.
