Maruti Suzuki S Cross 2023

Japanese automaker Suzuki recently revealed the new-generation S-Cross worldwide. This generation update brings new design and a host of new features to the SUV. That said, at the beginning, the S-Cross will be available in Europe, followed by other international markets and then India sometime in mid-2022.

The latest-generation S-Cross is an entirely new vehicle in terms of design but with equal dimensions as its predecessor. There is a new large grille, new LED daytime running lights and headlights, LED rear lights and 17-inch alloy wheels. Apart from that, it features a four-wheel-drive system, ESP, hill hold control and ADAS. However, the India-spec S-Cross might not come equipped with all the features.

The dark cabin of the S-Cross gets an analogue instrument cluster, a nine-inch infotainment touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, adjustable rear seats and dual-zone temperature control. Other features include a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, ecall, front, side, knee and curtain airbags, TPMS, auto headlamps and wipers. When the S-Cross comes to India, it will not get all the features offered in some international markets.

Unlike the European-spec S-Cross, the India-bound model is very likely to retain the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine mated to either a manual or automatic transmission. Once launched, the S-Cross will compete against the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and the MG Astor.
