Maruti Suzuki Ignis [2020-2023]

Summary

Maruti Suzuki Ignis is a popular name in the compact car segment in the country. The Indian car manufacturer in 2020 introduced the updated model with a set of new safety features in form of a reverse parking assist system, co-driver seat belt reminder and high-speed alert system. Maruti Suzuki has introduced roof rails in the higher variants – Zeta and Alpha.  

Exterior

The minimalist body consists of plain surfaces and around the roof with straight lines that give it a distinctive stance. The proportionate tyres jutting out at the four corners firmly support the body and hint at the car's muscular look. Dramatic features such as the front fascia with its sunglass-clad look, the shell-like roof, and the attractive slits on the C-pillar accentuate its exterior. The vehicle is available in nine colour options – glistening grey, lucent orange, silky silver, pearl arctic white, Nexa blue and turquoise blue. Dual-tone colour options include lucent orange with black roof Nexa blue with black roof and Nexa blue with silver roof.

Interior

The Ignis gets typical Maruti Suzuki black interiors with silver accents. The interior quality is good and the top-spec car gets automatic climate control, a modern touchscreen SmartPlay infotainment system equipped with USB and Bluetooth connectivity as well Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, black and white MID, reverse parking sensors and a multifunction steering wheel.

Engine & Transmission

The Ignis gets the 1.2-litre K-Series Dualjet VVT petrol engine. The petrol engine makes 89bhp and 113Nm of torque. The Ignis can be had with a five-speed manual but is also offered with a five-speed AMT gearb
