        Whats Good

Stable Body, Ground Clearance, Pick Up, Value for Money.

        What Can Improve

Rear Length Of The Van Should Increase(Length Of The Back side From behind Of The Driver Seat To Tail Lamp)13 Inch Tyre size To 14 Inches. Back Door Opening Must Be Changed. At Present Its Like In cars It Should Be operable Like in Bolero and other SUV's. Increase in width of the vehicle few centimeters, there must be a choice for customer to select back suspension coil spring and spring leaf according to his use.

        Whats Good

        1) One can sit erect in the car. 2) The car has a lot of space. 3) The car engine is trouble free.

        What Can Improve

1)The car mileage could be improved.2) A system could be provided in the car so that the back portion could be curtained and save ac power when not in use.

The car is quite stable. It is not meant for high speed drive, so I like it. In emergency more people could be carried..

Maruti Eeco 5 seater (I own ) is better than the underpowered 7 seater.5 Seater gives 10kmpl in 2nd and occasional 3rd in city with 30% time A/c run.Highways cruising at 70kmph I got 17 with a/c running 80 % time with 2 on board with four travel bags. Front extended nose does not contain the engine (Hope it had-Suzuki does not have enough brains to install one )neither it has stronger sheet metal ,I doubt if it can with stand 45 degree offset crash test.Design proportions are not adequate it should have been atleat 150mm wider and 150mm shorter, and same level floor plan from front to back (three levels right now with CO2 welded sheets).Suspension damper-springs are not tuned yet as is steering linkages ,looks like suzuki R&D awaiting customer feedback or they might have sent the reports to Parent company and are awaiting their replies to change the design (A normal work culture in suzuki ) Indeed the space is plenty but see it closely most of the space is vertical and not use able, only ambiance is created for spacy looks (This is basically a luggage van called CARRY ,or Every in Japan used to carry material not Humans .They tried their best to sell this in India as Versa for 5 lacs each 10 years ago and people realised the stuff and rejected. Now they are giving it at realistic 3lacs ex show room.Buy this if you like some thing 20% more safer than Omni or else buy a santro which has better engine and sfaety r if you have 80K more simply buy a Indica Vista

        Whats Good

        running cost and boot space

        What Can Improve

power staring and auto locking with elect.windows

a personal cum commercial vehicle liked for its big space and effective AC /HTR.a diesel version also could prove very useful in non-CNG states.

Eeco has 73 bhp with 1200 cc engine . It is quite powerful at that and with the gear ratios well chosen you can push into the fifth gear at as low as 40 kph . The second gear and fifth gear do most of the work . You do not miss the power steering as the steering is quite light and forward tilted than other cars . gettign used to the size of the car takes some time especially while parking in reverse in tight spots . The seven seater variant with Ac may not work because the vents are only in the front . I feel that it is not a replacement for Omni because the five seater is comfortable with large boot space but in case of seven sitter , the boot space is zero and the ac is a problem.

I took my brand new Eeco for a 1600km trip immediately after the home delivery by Pratham Motors. We were at heights ranging from 4000ft to 8000ft. in the Nilgiri and Munnar ghats. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-drive s-initial-ownership-reports/83627-maruti- eeco-came-home-2.html The above pics were shot at Devikulam, 5400ft MSL - the board was there but we missed taking a pic of it. Eeco performance: The Eeco ran very well at the heights, for a brand new car. The Odo was 900kms after delivery. We were smack in the middle of the Monsoon and were very lucky for the hole-in-the sky that gave a chance for those wonderful pics. The Ghats restricted travel to the 2nd gear most of the time as the rain decided full-time AC. Stability was excellent at the bends - we did more than 130 hairpins in a single day- and could keep up with the Santros and other small and zippy cars driven by in-a-hurry Rally veterans. The Eeco still gave me 14kms to the liter in the ghats and 15+ in the straights! Earlier on , during the 1st 100kms of the drive, I thought the engine was straining at hi-revs. I was wary of this due to some TD reports & reviews that I had read online. It took some time to realize that the engine screamed due to over enthusiastic pumping of the throttle rather than that of 'strain'. There's quite an Oomph in the engine and the Eeco will go quietly if you get the hang of the RPMs and the gear Ratio. No one knows anything about the top secret engine (which is a brand new Maruti R&D product) other than that it is 'aluminum'. I asked the Service engineers from MISL but they too were tight-lipped about it and seemed to discourage any queries. The best part of the Eeco is the AC - it is really the best i have seen for a single AC reaching the back seats ! It was one of the major points for choosing the Vehicle.

EECO is good option for commercial cum family car as far as Air conditioned is available only in 5 seat version and no ac in 7 seat version. Since ac is a essential requirement in some cities to protect from pollution, you may go for 5 seater eeco after test drive at nearest dealer, call the dealer , they bring the vehicle to your home also for test drive

I have bought an EECO 5 Seater with AC / Heater as a second car recently ( two weeks / 800 KM). I have no complaints till date. It a very roomy car with plenty of space for my very energetic dog and for carrying bulky luggage whenever required ( Airport /Railway Station / market etc). You just do not have to think twice before heading for these places. However it can not be compared to a Santro. The response of Santro is faster and the ride may be quieter and more comfortable, the EECO (especially the 5 seater) score in the area of availability of space. However I am basically using it a utility vehicle being most affordable vehicle in its class. I would recommend buy the vehicle keeping the end use in mind. Specific areas like pulling power , ease of handling, ergonomics, suspension/steering/brake/lights/display/turning radius etc would require detailed discussion. May contact me on E mail. The mechanics are right, being a new car reliability of this vehicle is not yet fully proven.

I have ecco 7 seater (the first in my city about a year old now). 1. There is a lot of difference in comfort from 5 seater. The last row leg space is very less and is not useful for long run. 2. The seven seater has any space left for luggage. 3. With 7 seater lacks the power and is a real fuel guzzler. 4. The suspension is horrible and the 3rd row seater will complain on Indian road. 5. The 7 seater has no A/c and the company said the engine will not able to take the load. 6. The sliding doors are a horrible thing. 7. Maruti being the highest seller of cars the dealer are always full with customer and any problem is just postponed without real work done. I am owning Maruti Eeco for the last 8 months and my sincere advice for the new buyers is donot buy this cheapo vehicle buy a Venture instead which is more advanced and more safe. Let me explain JD power survey and effiecient sales network of suzuki is all hogwash these surveys are all covered up by suzuki.Once you buy the vehicle the call centre without any authenticity keeps calling you about dealer service and asks you to give points but when I asked why not let me rate suzuki and their car instead they donot have any answer.None of the dealer gives any personalised service, Tata fiat is better even though they are less in numbers. Now vehicle eeco looks big but actually space is vertical and unusable try it to believe it.Its a luggeage van called kei vans of japan and for indian condition it has been added with two different level platforms at rear and at boot higher than drivers cab all co2 welded.the reason is not clear to me where as (though unsafe) omni has better space utilisation. Steering is totally vague as old versa has been stripped off with EPS column without changing the geometry of linkages and rollback to center after a small turn is not felt try omni which is far better. Also slide over the humps neither front nor rear soaks bumps one feels the short travel of dampers it means suzuki has not spent time to fine tune spring rating visa vis damper ratings or they might still be depending on brainless engineers located in Japan. Try driving with four people 280Kgs and loggage of about 150Kgs Engine strains and with a/c on vehicle struggles to pick speed.Try again for parking in city one sure going to have muscle catch.
