well guys A-star car seems to have a western taste attached to its looks. I checked out this car recently and yar it was a pleasure to drive this car. Right from the start to the end, the journey was very comfortable. The handling and control was pretty awesome too. The boot is more than enough for a weekend get away with friends . The car has full host of features which adds to the driving fun. Yes folks even I was surprised initially because the car actually performed better than what I thought. Though I have cars,not from maruti but it seems that A-Star will be the best choice to bring in a Maruti brand car. The looks of the car itself is amazing. The overall quality,refinement and finish seems to overcome the limitations if any

A Star not for tall people

Go to the showroom, open the doors, sit in the driver's seat and see how comfortable it is. Also check out who all will sit in the car behind for comfort which is important. Only after U have done this think about buying this car, because I had a very bad experience. This car is not meant for tall people???? Dont repent later.

It is a tough battle between a-star vxi and i10 era. Both cars are best in its class so it is hard to choose. In case of mileage a-star gets the extra edge while i10 outplays it in space, interiors, drive. The i10 feels a bit heavier and smoother. A-star vxi comes with an integrated music system and four power windows while era has only two. If you stretch your budget you can go for i10 magna with all four. Both the cars are good for city but on the highway i10 gets ahead. i10 also has spacious interior but a-star is congested. So if you don't care for 1km less mileage then opt for i10 you will have a great drive.

I owed A-star and gone thru all models of I-10,U-va,Spark,Wagon-r,santro ultimately i was convinced by A-star.Pickup is marvellous,average is good,looks are cool like sporty......recently i went ot jaipur it gave me an average between 20-22 km/ltr on highway with AC......

A STAR WILL BE BETTER CHOICE IF YOU LIKE ITS LOOK. BECAUSE 1) IT HAS BETTER ENGINE. 2) IT GIVES BETTER MILEAGE. 3) REAR SEAT COMFORT IS FAR BETTER THAN SANTRO. 4) IT IS FROM MARUTI. 5) CHEAPER SERVICE 6) VERY GOOD VEHICLE ON HIGHWAY. SANTRO WILL BE BETTER ONLY IN TERMS OF EASY INGRESS AND CITY DRIVING. NOW CHOICE IS YOURS.

Astar-Lxi the advantage over Santro to me is :- -better milage -Service netwrok -new technology KB-10 series engine,capturing mkt -new looks CNG option also available in it now Santro only advantage is resale value:-(

You can expect a mileage of 12KMPL with AC from A-Star. Performance wise, it is very fun car t drive in the city, with good pickup & great ride & handling. Build Quality is quite good compared to other Maruti models. Looks is something which depends entirely on one's personal taste. Although, in my opinion it looks better than other cars in similar price range. Only disadvantages being a cramped rear seat & very small boot.

If boot space & rear seat comfort is not a high priority, I would suggest the A-Star. Some of the merits over Estilo: 1. Built Better & Toguher ( As Being exported in huge no.s) 2. Ride Quality Much Better. 3. Great Fun to Drive with a very communicative steering. 4. Better Body Control & Rolls much lesser than Estilo. GO for a test drive & you will feel the difference between the two.
