Being an owner of Logan DLX since 2008 June

Being an owner of Logan DLX since 2008 June, and having done more than 45,000 km, I have never had a bad experience with the car, nor with the service personnel of Kochi and Thrissur. The main speciality of Logan is its excellent suspension. The spare parts are quite cheap. When the right-hand side tail lamp was broken due to a minor accident, the replacement cost me just 147 rupees!

Both Renault LOGAN & the SWIFT DDIS are good diesel cars. The LOGAN diesel gives a mileage of 29 kilometers per litre of fuel and is very spacious, very comfortable, easy to drive, has a powerful airconditioner, good over bumpy roads, its boot is 2nd only to the SKODA in space and is coming with mouth watering price tags with the company giving huge price cuts now.The SWIFT DDIS diesel is a very good alternative also.

The car is good, whether in petrol or Diesel version.Sturdy steady and efficient performer. About whether the company will survbive,I would feel that with the world coming out of recession, Renault w, which had halted all activities here and elsewhere, will restart giving importance to this country and the car should survive. They have the backing of Mahindras, which, by itself, is a formidable company and would not take it lying down. They have recently introduced a better version (about a week back), which is an indicator that they would like to take the project forward.

The Dacia is rebadged as Logan in India. It is a good sturdy car, economical on fuel and practically free from problems. I have been driving one for the last one year(1.4 GLE).It is surprising that Mahindras who handle the marketing of the car have not been able to make any inroads into the lower "C" segment cars.No wonder that Renault is having second thoughts before they bring the Sandero( in the premium Hatcback segment), which is on the same platform, about continuing their association with Mahindras. It will be a sad for them if this comes to pass.

The Logan is an excellent car, well built and optimally designed. The Manza is an unproven quantity, and Tata's engine is by no means a match to Renault's. The Logan for whatever reason has not shown great numbers, but ranks high in customer satisfaction. It is a car that will endear itself to its user over time. From personal experience, I have seen nothing but happiness coming from Logan owners!

Unequivocally, the Logan diesel is a better car; a value for money proposition. The Manza is a new car, just introduced by Tatas as a sequel to the Indigo. It will take time to assess whether it measures upto the same levels of customer satisfaction as the Logan. The Logan is a good car, with good fuel efficiency and a good track record of faultless service.

I own a 2008 LOGAN Petrol 1.4GLE.My advice to you would to desist from getting retro fitting of LPG or CNG kit on the car. In the long run, it reduces engine power and reduces the life of the engine. The petrol car which I have gives me 10-11 km/lt in local and 14 km plus on the highway. For optimum use you have to run the car at a speed between 60-70 km and certainly not beyond 80km on the highway and in local if you can drive at an optimum speed of 50 km it is most desirable. The car is dependable.

I am using Logan 1.4GLX since NOV'2007 & I am very much satisfied with the performance of the vehicle. I am running it around 150 kms. Daily (around 56000 kms on the meter). I just turn it to CNG recently which is also working fine I don't know why company is not promoting the CNG version of the same. The only problem which I seen in the car is the Pick-Up & secondly the service net work. They are having only two service center in the capital of India delhi.

I have just bought a Logan GLX 1.4, and am extremely satisfied by its performance and offerings. The car stands to all the commitments the producer has associated with it as a long lasting product, and is presently the most ideal big family sedan available for a the most favourable commercial offer. My choice of Logan inspite of lots of negative reactions from a no. other brand users was due to its quality of materials, offerings and most importantly interior and boot space. The car drives like an indian car, has a practical approach towards the typical personal indian Driver. and responds like a perfect Indian Car at the steering wheel, Predicting its Behaviour is not a mammoth task, and handles road variations at a high degree. Though I keep updating myself with the current state of the Mahindra Renault JV, but i am not worried about its future, as i know a Car will last as long as the user wants it to last. A perfect and timely maintenance schedule, good drving skills and a little bit of care shall do the work perfectly. This goes for all the cars in the market.
