I have owned a Mahindra Scorpio Getaway 4WD for more than a year and consider the massive vehicle as the strongest and most reliable sports utility vehicle of the Indian car market. I purchased the Scorpio Getaway 4WD in an elegant black shade and it costed me around Rs. 10 lacs.
I have been able to take the strong vehicle to serious off-roading journeys without any major troubles. I was specifically impressed with the vehicle's power-packed 2609 cc, 2.6-litre turbocharged engine which can produce maximum power of 115 bhp at 3800 rpm and maximum torque of 277 Nm at 1700 rpm.
Commenting on the cabin comfort, Mahindra Scorpio Getaway 4WD has everything I could ask for in a utility vehicle. Perfect for off-terrain long trips, the cabin offers optimum space and features. Some of the cabin features include heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system with rear vents, individual armrests in front seas, power windows, power steering control, mobile charging points for front and middle row seats and more.
Passenger safety is one of the most important criteria I consider before buying an off-roading vehicle. Scorpio has a suitable safety package which includes features like crash protecting crumple zones, child safety locks, collapsible steering column, side intrusion beams, fire resistant upholstery, vehicle security and remote locking system.
