Jeep Compact SUV

American SUV giant Jeep is readying an all-new Compact SUV for its global debut sometime by the end of this year or early 2023. It is very likely to bring this new offering to India and might also manufacture it at its plant here, similar to the Compass, Meridian, and the upcoming new Cherokee. Meanwhile, a prototype model of the Compact SUV has been spotted undergoing tests a couple of times.

If the spy photographs are to go by, the brand-new Compact SUV will bear a modern design philosophy. However, it is most likely to retain the Jeep signature radiator grille and trapezoidal wheel arches, which appear slightly rounded in the spy photos. Besides this, the upcoming new Compact SUV is believed to measure approximately 4m in length and could share its platform with one of the Stellantis brand cars.

The details about the interior of the Compact SUV are unavailable yet. However, Jeep might offer numerous in-cabin features, such as a digital instrument cluster, a sizable infotainment system, a wireless charging pad, USB Type-C ports, and leatherette upholstery for the seats.

Jeep could bestow the Compact SUV with ESC, traction control, six airbags, ISOFIX anchor points, hill hold or hill descent control, seat-belt pretensioners, ABS with EBD, and brake assist, among others.

Jeep will reveal the powertrain options for the all-new Compact SUV during its unveiling or market launch. The India-bound model might get petrol and diesel powertrain options linked to an automatic or manual gearbox.
