The SUV was revealed for India at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 and could be launched here in 2026.

Variants

It is expected to be offered only in one fully-loaded, top-spec variant.

Feature List

Key feature highlights of the Hyundai Ioniq 9 include three rows of seating, Level 2 ADAS, multi-zone climate control, dual-digital screens, panoramic sunroof, full LED light package, and V2L and V2V technology. In terms of design highlights, we can expect the production-spec version to carry the same design, as shown at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025.

Battery, Powertrain and Specifications

The India-spec Ioniq 9 is expected to be powered by a 110.3kWh battery pack, mated to a dual electric motor setup. The powertrain produces 308bhp and 650Nm. The battery can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in 24 minutes via a 350kW fast charger.

Safety

All versions get 10 airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounting points, and Level 2 ADAS. It has not yet been crash-tested for a GNCAP rating.

Competition

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 will go up against cars like the Kia EV9 and the MG M9. The latter is expected to be priced much lower than the competition.
