Honda Civic Hybrid is a slightly improvised version of the original Honda Civic

      12 years ago | Snehal

Honda Civic Hybrid is a slightly improvised version of the original Honda Civic. There are many changes that have been made on fuel efficiency, styling and cabin space. On the exterior Hybrid looks like the Honda Civic, however when I took it for a test drive, I experience many differences from the previous car. Looking a lot like the conventional Honda Civic on the exterior, the car has the same features like classic headlamps and tail lamps. However on a closer look, there is a little logo on the back side which says 'Hybrid' and the wheels are also different. On the interior front as well, the car evidences minor improvements. Along with controls like digital speedometer, tachometer, fuel economy indicator, outside temperature and digital odometer, a battery level gauge and an assist/charge display has been added. I find the front seats to have an unusual sense of space because of the far located windscreen base. All the rest of the feature remain the same such as steering wheel with audio control, flexible centre console and the spilt instrument gauge cluster. The car is abundantly spacious in the front, however in the rear seat, taller people may not be comfortable because of inadequate leg room. Honda Civic Hybrid has a 1.3 L Intelligent Variable Valve Timing and Electronic Lift Control(i-VTEC) engine and delivers a decent engine performance. The charge\assist gauge assist the driver in making full and effective utilisation of the batteries. The hybrid also provides decent fuel economy of 5 km per litre. However, the fuel economy is not favourable when driving on highways.

I recently had the chance to drive Honda Civic that was purchased by my best friend. The Honda Civic is a premium sedan segment model that is a combination of sporty design and new-age technology. The model comes in three variants, namely Honda Civic 1.8 S MT, Honda Civic 1.8 V MT and Honda Civic 1.8 V AT. The Honda Civic is known for its world class1.8L SOHC i-VTEC engine that gives excellent fuel efficiency. In addition to fuel efficiency, this engine delivers maximum power of 130 hp and maximum torque of 171.6 Nm. The model has some exciting features like new electric sunroof (optional) , dual exhaust pipe finisher, door protectors, interior lights, information display with trip meter to name a few. As far as the safety features are concerned, the company has assimilated the Honda Civic with SRS Airbags (passenger and driver), security alarm system with answerback, front fog lamps, ABS with EBD and Dual horn. The model is 4,545 mm in length, 1,750 mm in width and 1,450 mm in height. There are limited options in colours as the Honda Civic is available in Crystal Black Pearl, Tafeta White, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Urban Titanium Metallic and Habanero Red. In a nutshell, the Honda Civic is suitable for customers, who are looking for novelty value, convenience features and low maintenance and running costs.

I recently purchased a Honda Civic two months back and has no issues with the vehicle. Honda Civic is a D segment car and is worth the money it's priced for. The excellent power and convenient ride provides a impressive driving experience to the driver as well as passengers of the car. Civic is a luxurious car embedded with all the luxurious and comforts which a sedan must carry with itself. The aggressive exteriors of Civic reflect sporty and amazing looks when the car smoothly glides over the Indian streets. No matter front or side rear view, the car possesses its sporty components complemented with metallic front grille with centralised positioned logo, smoky headlights and front lower grille indulged with chrome. Along with good looks, the car is equipped with many unique features. These features includes SRS air bags for driver and passenger, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Break-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), front fog lamps, adjustable front seats belts and auto door lock. Moreover, security features like security alarm system, key less entry, immobilizer system, rear window defroster, child proof rear lock, inner rear view mirror, dual horn and wave key is also equipped within the car.

So all this doesnt matter if u wna own this fabulous car..u have to pay the price..nuthing good comes free of cost

I bought a Honda Civic V AT this year and there are no issues with the performance vehicle till now. Honda Civic V AT is an attractive variant of Honda Civic car which brings a sense of pride to owner. Engine of the variant is quite revved and is smooth, providing a swift on-road driving experience. In my opinion, if a one owns a Civic, he is doing well for himself. Honda Civic V AT is loaded with several features for comfort, convenience and safety of occupants. Some of the highlighting features of the variant include rear parking sensors, paddle shift gears, cruise control, rear reading lights and front as well as rear seat adjustable head rests. The addition of organ type accelerator and foot rest makes driving pursuit quite easy. Moreover, power assisted steering is quite impressive for complete control of car. The car is equipped with i-VTEC, 1.8 L engine, featuring four in-line cylinders with 16 valves. The maximum power generated by this powerful engine is 128 bhp at 6300 rpm, whereas the maximum torque attained is 172 Nm at 4300 rpm. An excellent power churning capability and torque delivery reflects excellent technical capability of the sedan.

I have used a Honda civic AT. It looks nice and has some user friendly facilities. However, I have not been happy with it. Rear suspension is not to the mark making the ride for the rear passengers uncomfortable. Also I have had problems wioth the dealer & service center. I have sold it after using it for about 18 months and now I plan to buy a Toyota Altis.
