The new Micra features a bigger grille, re-designed front fenders and bonnet, deeper chin, new headlamps, a new set of alloys, LED tail lamps, revised rear bumper and tail gate lip. The updated model is 45mm longer than the old one. Whereas, the facelifted Beat gets new bumpers, modified headlights and tail lamps, new mirrors and a new rear spoiler with LED inserts. Mated with a 5-speed transmission, it delivers a mileage of 23.08kmpl. The Micra petrol is powered by a 1.2-litre engine that develops a peak power output of 75bhp at 6000rpm with 104Nm of torque at 4000rpm. The major attraction is the new CVT (Continuously variable transmission) gearbox, which is offered only on the petrol trim. Nissan claims that the automatic version is very frugal as it delivers a mileage of 19.35kmpl, while the fuel economy of the 5-speed manual transmission model is also improved, which now offers 18.44kmpl.
