This vehicle was Mahindra’s answer to Swift DZire as the later has been very popular. With the Verito Vibe, Mahindra is eyeing small car space in India. It is available only in diesel and is priced between Rs. 5.63 - Rs. 6.49 lakhs.
The Swift DZire on the other hand is extremely well selling and popular car in its category/ Apart from looking better than the Verito Vibe, the DZire also assures of being a low maintenance car with fantastic support from Maruti Suzuki in post sales. It is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. In addition to a diesel unit, the DZire also offers an automatic transmission option. It is priced at Rs. 5.22 - Rs. 7.83 lakhs.

The Mahindra Verito Vibe does not succeed in luring customers with its looks as it still looks dated. The overall boxy design of the vehicle isn’t appealing at all. The front face is very similar to the Verito sedan and the overall looks feel closely inspired the sedan.
Mahindra should realize that just by tweaking some bits in looks and introducing chrome on the body does not make the car look attractive. It gets the family radiator grille with a toothed look. The headlights have a smoked eye finish. On the side profile, there are body colored door handles with twin combination colored ORVMS. The alloy wheels are finished in Champaign gold which looks like an aftermarket treatment. The Vibe also boasts of a segment first LED tail lights which is the only attractive feature in the design. The boot lid opens very peculiarly thus limiting the amount of luggage one can squeeze inside.
Swift DZire has a sleek body, which makes it unique and attractive. The front section has a enhanced body grille. The headlamps are also known as hawk eye headlamps and offer a superb visibility. The bonnet has lot of strong and bold lines running all over.

The cabin space inside the Verito Vibe is its USP as it is very spacious compared to the competition. What may seem ugly in exteriors is a blessing inside with the boot being pushed out of the passenger cabin space and still the Vibe manages to call itself a hatch. The quality of interiors and fit and finish of buttons don’t score much and is the same as seen on Verito sedan. The cabin does not feel premium and the seats too dont appear so. The headroom and legroom is decent and can try accommodating five adults. The Vibe can be the only hatch to squeeze in three passengers in the rear while others claim to seat five but in real conditions only two can manage.
Inside the Swift DZire, one would find a dual tone dashboard which is done in plastic and beige. Wooden trims further enhance the look of the dashboard. Beige is also used for the door pads and seats of this sedan to create an elegant impression. Internally even the door handles look neat. The instrumental and central panel have been intended to give a premium look.

Diesel variant of new Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire is powered by DDiS engine, which has 1248 cc displacement. Power generated by the engine of this car is 74 bhp at 4000 rpm. Torque churned by the engine of this car is 190 Nm at 2000 rpm.
Verito Vibe is offered in Renault sourced 1.5L diesel engine which delivers a mileage of 20.8 kmpl. The 1461cc engine produces a maximum power of 65PS at 4000 rpm and a torque of 169Nm at 2000 rpm. It has a boot space of 330 litres.

The Mahindra Verito Vibe claims to be a new car however it is just a shortened Verito which has a good engine and cabin space but then the exterior looks are too sore and need drastic change. The Verito Vibe needs a complete brand makeover as been sighted as a fleet traveler; the brand takes a severe beating.
Maruti was smart to distinguish between the two models. The introduced the TOUR only for the fleet operators and thus the general image of Swift DZire is retained. The Swift DZire is a much more appealing vehicle than the Verito Vibe. So the verdict is in favor of Swift DZire as India needs more of a heart car than a wanabe Sport.
