On one side is the fluidic contender from Hyundai which boasts of all fluidic lines all over. The Hyundai Eon when launched was primarily an answer by Hyundai in the entry level car market. Maruti Suzuki led for generation in the small car segment and thus cashing in on the brand connect almost all small cars launched by the Japanese maker are a hit.

The Alto on the other side is a work horse. No loud lines and no design attributes. It caters to the basic utility approach of the consumers. Still the Alto has a fantastic resale value and the price does not depreciate easily. Let’s see more on these two staunch rivals.

If only the EON would have had little more space than the present, it would have felt roomier inside because at present the EON feels a little tight on space. The front row legroom and headroom is decent, however the one in rear is average. The second row would seat 2 comfortably against 3.

The Maruti Alto has colour coordinated door trim fabric and colored upholstery. Other features incorporated in the new model include new three spoke power steering, new electronic tripmeter, vanity mirror, accessory socket, ash tray, cup holder and power windows for the front passengers.
