Citroen Basalt X

Model Launch Date:

The Citroen Basalt X was launched in India on 5 September, 2025.

Feature List:

The Basalt X sports slanted patterns on the dashboard, bronze-coloured trim pieces, and a new tan and black upholstery with soft-touch material.

In terms of features, the Basalt X gets a new Citroen-developed in-car conversational assistant called CARA that can perform functions like real-time flight status tracking, traffic updates, SOS, smart reminders, and more. However, Cara is solely offered in the Max automatic variants.

The X also gets features such as keyless entry, push start/stop button, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, cruise control, LED fog lamps, optional 360-degree camera, and an auto-dimming IRVM.

Engine, Performance, and Specifications:

Under the hood, the Basalt X is available with a 108bhp, 1.2-litre, turbo-petrol engine that can be mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The base Basalt X variant gets an 80bhp, 1.2-litre, petrol motor with a five-speed manual gearbox.

The Basalt X can be had in You, Plus, and Max variants.

Safety:

The Basalt has scored four stars in the Bharat NCAP crash test.

Competition:

The Basalt X continues to rival the Tata Curvv, Honda Elevate, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and the MG Astor.
