Citroen Basalt EV

Model launch date:

The Citroen Basalt EV is expected to be launched in India in November 2025.

Variants:

The Basalt EV will be offered in multiple variants.

Feature list:

We expect Citroen Basalt EV to sport the coupe body style along withhaving split headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, different alloy wheel design, a shark fin antenna, and a fender-mounted charging flap.

In terms of features, the Basalt EV will mostly come equipped with a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, powered ORVMs, and a digital instrument cluster.

Battery, powertrain, and specifications:

While Citroen has kept the technical specifications of the Citroen Basalt EV under wraps, we expect that it could get a 35kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor setup and a driving range of up to 450km.

Safety:

While the Citroen Basalt is expected to come equipped with six airbags and, ABS with EBD, the EV could also be crash-tested upon launch.

Competition:

When launched, the Basalt EV will rival the Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6e, and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV.
