Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift facelift - What to Expect

Maruti Suzuki, a big name in the Indian automotive industry has been a key player in the domestic market. Across segments, the Indian carmaker has been known to deliver cars that are fuel efficient, economical and reliable. In the power hatchback segment, Maruti's Swift has been leading the sales chart. To take its popularity to the next level, Maruti Suzuki has been planning on launching the facelifted version sometime soon for the domestic market.

Major technical changes have not been rendered on the upcoming model, but the newer version is stated to be about 10% more fuel efficient than the current version. The facelifted version of Maruti Suzuki Swift shall continue to be offered in petrol and diesel trims. The diesel version shall continue to be powered by 1.3 Liter multijet engine, whereas the petrol version shall continue to be powered by 1.2 Liter K-series engine. Speaking more on efficiency figures, the diesel version reportedly deliver a fuel efficiency figure of about 25.2 kmpl, whereas the petrol version reportedly delivers about 20.4 kmpl.

Talk about fresh upgrades, the new Maruti Swift shall be available in two new interesting shades of Violet and Solid Red. Features like ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution), and airbags for driver and co-driver have been given in top end trims. The top end version also gets features like push start/stop button for keyless entry function, music system with Bluetooth compatibility, electrically adjustable rear view mirrors and reversing camera for easy parking.

Maruti Suzuki has started accepting bookings for the new Swift at a token amount of Rs. 10,000. The deliveries of the new facelifted Swift shall begin sometime soon next month.
