Maruti Suzuki SX4 S-Cross has been one of most anticipated vehicle for this year. Recently, the very first crossover from Maruti was spotted undergoing road test in the country. Going by recent developments, it is likely that Maruti Suzuki may usher in the new vehicle sometime early in 2015. Since its a first one to launched from the India's largest carmaker's production line it is expected, that the brand would be a hotseller in the domestic market post launch.

At the Auto Expo event held earlier this year, Maruti Suzuki had showcased the S-Cross trim at the event that featured smart LED lights. As seen in the latest pictures of the vehicle being tested on Indian roads that was captured by many on-line sources, also featured what appeared to be HID Projector headlamps mated with smart looking LED daytime running lamp. The front bumper is adorned with fog lamps that is neatly enclosed with chrome inserts. Moreover, a silver shaded skid-guard near the air dams render it a smart overall appeal.

Maruti Suzuki has not yet spoken on the technical aspect of the vehicle yet, if reports are be believed, the S-Cross SX4 may be initially launched in two diesel trims. One of the diesel trim is likely to be powered by 1.3-litre Fiat-sourced MJD engine that is capable of generating about 89 Bhp of power, and the another one is likely to be powered by 1.6-litre MJD engine that is capable of generating about 120 Bhp of power. One or both of the trims may also receive the all-new optional AllGrip all-wheel drive system. The 1.6 Liter version is likely to be mated with six-speed gearbox, whereas the 1.3 Liter trim is likely to be available in five speed transmission. Pricing and more details shall be known about the vehicle during its official launch announcement to to be held sometime soon.
