Mahindra-owned Ssangyong has launched the much-awaited Tivoli compact SUV in Korea, yesterday. The similar model might also come to India since SsangYong is looking aggressive with its product strategy in India as well. First unveiled at the Paris Motor Show as the X100 concept, the production spec Tivoli SUV looks quite identical to the concept. The vehicle will target young enthusiasts, and it highlights the company’s new Nature-born 3 language and global intent.

Ssangyong claims that 40 per cent of the Tivoli is developed by an ‘advanced high strength steel’ or AHSS. Along with the AHSS, the company has implemented a hot press forming process to minimize the impact in the event of a collision. Adding to it, the crossover gets seven airbags including one for the driver’s knees. The interiors of the crossover offer good space for both front and second row occupants and the material quality is top-notch.
