Skoda Yet facelift has been spotted in some snowy regions. Although the car was hidden behind funky camouflage, it could be easily identified. Developed on Mission L concept, the new Yeti will be followed up by other facelifted models. The updated Rapid has already been spotted couple of times while performing road tests and now it is turn of Yeti.

Bonnet of the car is redesigned and it has a notch projecting into the grille with Skoda logo on it. As the headlights and signature fog lights remains hidden behind camo, it is expected that these sections will also include some modifications. New shape will be provided to the bumpers for the air-dams and vents.

Rear section is also hidden, which provides indication about redesigned rear bumpers, tail lamps and minor nips & tucks acquired from the new design philosophy. Along with some additional features, the interiors will get new trims and material.

No news regarding the introduction of Skoda Yeti facelift has been provided by the car maker. Experts predict that the car will not enter the Indian market before 2013. The car maker has been selling Yeti in the country since a couple of years. Apart from being a capable vehicle, the Yeti has been a tepid seller for Skoda. High price and lack of muscular looks have been considered as the prime reasons.

In order to push the sales, Skoda India has reduced the price of the 4X2 variant. However, after some initial splash, the reduced price failed to increase the sales of Yeti in India. Skoda India sells 4X2 and 4X4 versions of Yeti in the country. A single 2 litre TDI turbo diesel engine powers the crossover. The lower spec engine gets 5 speed gearbox whereas a 6 speed stick shifter is provided in the more powerful variant.

According to Skoda, the Yeti line-up will remain free from changes until late 2013, when the facelifted model is introduced.
