Despite all the hype and buzz, the changes in this model are going to be merely cosmetic with no mechanical alterations. This automatically means that BMW S1000RR is going to be powered by the same 999 cc in line four cylinder engine that is fitted in the current model. The powertrain in the BMW S1000RR current version, churns out an output of around 193 BHP along with peak torque of 112 Nm, helping the bike to render a superb performance similar to that of a supercar.

The BMW S1000RR, launched in 2008, is the firm’s flagship sports bike that comes with a lot of features, equipment and accessories enhancing the convenience of the driver. BMW S1000RR has a huge following and it gives competition to the best bikes from Japan and Europe, competing with the likes of Kawasaki ZX-10R, Honda CBR 1000R and Aprilia RSV4. Experts feel that this bike is going to perform as good as the current model in the international market.
