Japanese car maker Honda has gone ahead to reveal the production version of S660 concept. According to sources, the firm had been working on a Beat replacement, which it had sought to replace with 2011 EV STER all-electric concept. A report by Carscoops showed images from Japan with units of the model standing at a port. These images are indicative of the fact that the Japanese car maker is planning to roll out S660 in 2015.

The new Honda S660 roadster has a sporty design and compact built. Also, it is quite similar to the concept version that was unveiled a couple of years back. The only modifications that have been implemented include changes to headlamp and tail light clusters, smaller wheels and well sculpted door lines. Honda has toned down the interior design to make it look less futuristic by reducing the extravagance of steering wheel and seat designs.

This car is 3.4 metres in length and is largely inspired from the Beat roadster. It is fitted with a 660 cc three-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces around 63 bhp of maximum power. In terms of transmission, Honda is likely to offer two options, namely CVT or six-speed manual. Rumours have been consistently floating regarding Honda’s plan to launch a 1000 cc engine powered car that has a wide body, big wheels and a power level of around 100 bhp.
