Porsche has revealed at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show that their Mission E will be available with several power outputs. We’ve already reported spying the brand’s EV earlier this year and it looks more like a jacked-up Panamera, to say the least.

While Porsche has disclosed that the Mission E will be positioned below the Panamera in their product range, they’ve also added that it will have a range of 500km. A quick-charging system will be used to recharge the battery to 80 per cent in 15 minutes, which is the outcome of Porsche working with Hitachi to develop the required 800-volt charging system.

Better still, this Porsche will also be compatible with over-the-air (OTA) updates where even a performance bump-up can be integrated into the update. Let’s say for example, a 400bhp Mission E variant can receive an OTA update that can convert it to a 450bhp version! Now, though it is believed that Porsche’s Mission E will get ‘Level 4’ autonomous driving technology, the brand expects their customers to primarily be excited about driving their Porsche cars (other than when in traffic). Stay tuned for more information on the Mission E in the time to come.
