New X5 SUV is expected to be larger in stance than the outgoing version. BMW has cut down on the weight of the SUV which hints at improved fuel economy. Third generation BMW X5 will be brought to India as a completely knocked down unit and will be assembled locally at the company’s manufacturing unit. Local assembling will allow the car maker to price the new X5 competitively as against its potential rivals. A hypothetical price ranging between Rs 69 to Rs 73 lakh is being expected by auto pundits for the new X5 depending on the model one picks. Rest the beans will be spilled tomorrow at the launch event and we will get back with first hand information on the features, engine specifications and price of the vehicle.
