Japanese car maker Mitsubishi has gone ahead and launched the Final Edition of its Lancer Evo, putting a full stop in the production of a vehicle that is considered nothing less than a legend. In the past two decades, Mitsubishi’s Lancer has been a top performing vehicle and holds a special place among Indian consumers as well. According to reports, only 1000 units of the Final Edition have been manufactured and the firm is already taking bookings in its home country Japan. Not only has Lancer been followed intensely in India, it is one of the most prominent fixtures in the coveted Indian Rally Championship.

Though Mitsubishi did showcase a new prototype named Lancer Evo X Concept in 2014, no news of it being turned into a production model has come up since then. The Lancer Evo Final Edition, on the other hand, features the usual gaping front grille, rear with race specification diffuser, blacked out roof and scooped bonnet. Mitsubishi has provided this car with a gloss black-painted bumper and single rear exhaust tips on both sides to add to its style quotient.

Five colour options are available for customers who want to buy Mitsubishi Lancer Final Edition including Grey, Blue, White, Black and Red. Experts are of the opinion that this car will produce a power level in excess of the usual 291 BHP generated by the regular version. Some of the main features of this car include MIVEC turbo 2.0-litre engine, five-speed manual transmission system and 18-inch BBS wheels.
