While the company officials have refused to disclose any details pertaining to the development of the Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 but it has been revealed that at present, this new Maruti sibling is undergoing various test sessions at various developmental stages.

Alto has been the segment leader since its inception in the country, but with intensifying competition, rising petrol prices and mounting interest rates, the sales of Alto have considerably declined.
