Rexton SUV’s have been the frontrunners for Ssanyong in the country. Indian auto giant Mahindra, has been the official partner selling the Rexton series in India. The latest one on the offering is the Rexton RX6, which has been launched in the country recently. The newly launched vehicle comes at an attractive price tag of about Rs. 19.96 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The vehicle shall be manufactured at Mahindra's Chakan Plant near Pune. At the launch event, Vivek Nayer, chief marketing officer, automotive division, Mahindra & Mahindra, said, “As a customer-centric organization, we continuously take feedback from consumers and update our products to cater to their evolving needs. One such feedback from customers was the need for high-end and luxurious features in a manual transmission model. The launch of the Rexton RX6 is a step in this direction and will give driving enthusiasts a manual transmission with 4x4 capabilities, along with high-end features.”

The Rexton RX6 is powered by a 2.7 litre motor that is mated to a five speed manual transmission. In the premium SUV segment the vehicle has managed to make a place for itself in the top selling premium SUVs segment in fiscal year 2013-2014. The vehicle has been launched in four interesting shades of Moondust silver, Satin White, Opulant Purple and Volcano Black.

The new RX6 variant from Mahindra Ssanyong Rexton is loaded with interesting features like an electrical sunroof, an eight-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat that comes with memory function, automatic head lights and rain-sensing wipers. For safety, the vehicle is loaded with hill decent control and ABS. The SUV comes with a 4x4 drive capability that makes it a good buy at an attractive price tag.
