Jaguar Land Rover India launches a new model of Range Rover

Jaguar Land Rover, the completely owned division of Tata Motors, has introduced a new variant of its flagship Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) Range Rover in the Indian auto market. Reportedly, the model has been priced between a bracket of Rs. 1.4 crore and Rs. 1.6 crore (ex showroom, New Delhi). At the launch ceremony, the auto maker said in a statement, “The highly-acclaimed all-new Range Rover is offering Indian customers increased powertrain choice with the introduction of the new 3.0 TDV6 diesel engine.”

Expressing his views on the new variant of Range Rover, the Vice President of Jaguar Land Rover India, Rohit Suri was quoted as saying, “The all-new Range Rover has been very well received in India and this new 3.0-litre TDV6 diesel engine will broaden its appeal even further. To deliver the model's characteristic effortless performance, we are pleased to give customers the choice of three engines that combine swift and responsive execution.” Reportedly, the recently introduced model is capable of smoothly accelerating from initial to 100 kmph in juts 7.9 seconds.

In order to lure a number of Indian auto aficionados across its stand, the auto maker has offered its new variant of Range Rover in two different engine options also, namely the 4.4 litre V8 diesel and 5 litre V8 Supercharged petrol. With the launch of a new model, industry experts are of a view that the auto maker is planning to end the ongoing fiscal on a good note, which has just few days left.
