Automobile enthusiasts are in for a delight as the commencement of 43rd Tokyo Motor Show is nearing. The biennial motor event is best known for Japanese car makers showcasing their talents in building extraordinary vehicles unlike the conventional ones. Whether it be hybrids, plug-in electrics or even hydrogen fuel-cell driven vehicles, all might be on display at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, which will start from 22nd November. In all likelihood, Nissan will officially unveil its much anticipated sports car, GT-R Nismo at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. As believed to be the most powerful model in GT-R series, Nismo has been developed to offer even greater performance as compared other versions. It is reported that the car would get a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 that would give a massive power, which equals to 595 bhp apart from 650 Nm of torque. Deriving thrust from these enormous outputs, the car is expected to breach the 0 to 100 kmph mark in under 3 seconds. Rumours are rife that Nissan has altered the intake system, free flowing exhaust and has given additional super chargers to power the car. Also to mention, the modifications to the car include stiffer suspension system and aerodynamic tweaks to give it an additional down force.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition

From the stable of Mercedes-Benz, the SLS AMG GT Final Edition will be showcased at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. As announced by the German car manufacturer, it will be the final production model of famous sports car series as only 350 units of the same shall be produced. Reported to be offered in coupe and roadster models, the car is equipped with a 6.3-litre V8 unit, producing 591 bhp worth of power alongside a torque of 673 Nm. The engine of the car is paired to a a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox to further transmit the power to its rear wheels. In the styling of SLS AMG GT Final Edition, Mercedes-Benz has given a carbon fibre hood and front splitter alongside the revamped front bumper.

Talking about Lexus, reports are suggesting that the company might prefer launching the RC sports car at the Tokyo Motor Show. The aerodynamic and powerful coupe is believed to be a head tuner owing to its exterior appearance. It is said that the car would be offered in two engine options, namely 3.5-litre V6 and 2.5-litre 4-cylinder unit equipped with Lexus Hybrid Drive system. Going by reports, both these engines would give away a power output in excess of 300 bhp. However, the exact details are yet to be announced by the company and experts are saying that it would be done at the Tokyo Motor Show.
