This time around has been working on building strategic alliance with software entrepreneurs to create more apps on the lines of Honda Developer Studio. Speaking more on the occasion Nick Sugimoto, senior program director of the Honda Silicon Valley Lab, said, “There’s a lot of money in town, so Honda money doesn’t make so much difference. But our expertise and domain knowledge and our culture of entrepreneurship also helps those outside innovators to build their businesses faster. So we have changed our model to a strategic-partner model.”

The Honda Developer Studio comes with a view to help participants refine and define their app ideas. The initiative also accelerates the learning for newcomers in the auto industry as it encourages them to consider “automotive-grade” engineering principles that focuses on driver safety as well as privacy.
