Ford is new strong brand in the Indian automotive sector. The carmaker has been known to deliver some of finest machines in the country. This time around, Ford India has identified issues with the faulty glow plug control module in the diesel trim of Fiesta sedan that was manufactured between October 2010 to December 2011. Speaking more on the occasion, a post from Ford India reads, “We have initiated a field service action to correct a product concern on 3,072 Ford Fiesta TDCi vehicles. This is a proactive, voluntary recall action to ensure customers’ safety and satisfaction and no accidents or injuries related to this concern have been reported.”

Ford India shall rectify the issue using a newly designed water waterproof Glow Plug Control Module at no additional cost to the customer. Company's dealers shall intimate the owners of the affected vehicles via a letter. The faulty component is primarily a heating component that is used in the diesel trim to aid easy start in cold conditions. No major incident or injuries have been reported due to this problem and the company is just sorting out the issue to stand true to its quality promise and avoid inconvenience to its users in India.
