The Ford Figo model has been a game changer for the American automotive giant and has contributed to a major chunk of the company's total sales from the entire country. The rejuvenated hatch has been laced with visually appealing sporty looks that will enable the car to give its competitors a run for their money in terms of cool quotient. The revamped Ford Figo could be viewed as a serious threat against the likes of Nissan Micra, Renault Pulse, Toyota Etios Liva and Hyundai i20 in the Indian hatchback segment.
It is the reworked engine that has generated the tremendous hype regarding the new Ford Figo. According to FIPL, its engineers have given some massive alterations to the existing Figo engine, which entail it to deliver superior power and performance outputs along with ensuring lesser maintenance requirements. The transmission system is also said to be superior than the erstwhile Figo and can deliver hassle free gear shifts, which may come in handy for luring the urban dwelling Indian buyers towards the Ford showrooms.
For the new peppy and sporty Figo hatch, the American auto major has put out an asking price tag of Rs. 3,84,999 and Rs. 4,81,999 for petrol and diesel models, respectively in the ex-showroom prices of New Delhi. The revamped Figo's launch at the cusp of Indian festivities could prove to be a master stroke by FIPL, as most domestic consumers consider the period auspicious and good for investments.
