'CV Man of the Year 2012' belongs to M&M's Pawan Goenka

On May 3, 2012, the 'CV Man of the Year 2012' award was presented to President, Automotive and Farm Equipment Sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Dr. Pawan Goenka. Taking into consideration his extended contribution in the automotive sector in the national and international circuit, he was bestowed with this honour at the Apollo CV Awards 2012.

While talking about this, Editor, CV Magazine, Sridhar Chari, said, “The year gone by has been one of the toughest for the automotive industry. Bucking this trend, Mahindra has performed well which speaks volumes for Dr. Goenka's leadership qualities. He has also spearheaded various innovative achievements at the company’s automotive sector in the past year. Hence, it was a unanimous decision to honour him with this accolade. I am sure he will take Mahindra and the automotive industry to greater heights in times to come.”

While accepting the honour, Dr. Pawan Goenka, President, Automotive and Farm Equipment Sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, quipped, “It is an honour to have been chosen for this recognition by CV magazine. I dedicate this accolade to Mahindra, for providing me with a vast canvas to play with and to all my colleagues who have worked tirelessly, accepting no limits. It is a tribute to the spirit of RISE which Mahindra stands for and represents through its products and service.”

To be the voice of the Indian commercial vehicle (CV) industry by means of its comprehensive coverage is a matter of pride for CV Magazine. The award evening also included a special panel discussion comprising the leaders of the CV segment to encourage exchange of ideas.
