BMW M6 Gran Coupe set to launch on April 3, 2014

BMW India will launch the new BMW M6 Gran Coupe on April 3, 2014 which the car maker exhibited at the 12th Auto Expo, in February 2014. BMW will import the coupe to India as a CBU, the vehicle is said to be the high on performance version of 6 Series Gran Coupe which is available for sale in the domestic market. BMW M6 Gran Coupe is likely to carry a hefty price tag since the vehicle will be sold in India as a CBU. Auto pundits opine that BMW could tag M6 Gran Coupe around Rs 1.5 crore.

In order to yield high performance, the car maker will equip M6 Gran Coupe with a 4.4 litre V8 engine that also powers M5. The powertrain will be bestowed with a M TwinPower turbo technology, a seven speed M double clutch transmission with Drivelogic and active M differential will be mated to the sturdy engine. The 4.4 lite V8 engine will pump out a magnificent 560 Bhp of maximum power output along with a top torque of 680 Nm enabling the vehicle to sprint from zilch to 100 kmph in just 4.2 seconds and attaining an electronically curbed speed of 250 kmph.

Features like 20-inch alloy wheels donning double-spoke design, carbon fibre-reinforced plastic roof, restyled bumpers, shimmering wheel arches and the M Signature –twin exhaust tailpipes mounted on the outer edges of the rear apron grant sporty semblance to the vehicle.
