Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS expected to be launched soon in India

The Pulsar brand from the Indian bike-maker Bajaj has been a popular pick in the country for about a decade now. Over the years, Bajaj has been on its toes to revolutionize the Indian two wheeler segment. A while ago news has also been doing rounds of Pulsar 200SS being launched in the country soon that shall carry fully faired pattern front with new set of headlamps. The bike was also spotted on a number of occasion across the country. As per a latest update the production version of the bike has made way to dealership outlets in the country.

The bike is said to be based on the 200NS platform but features a fully faired pattern with new headlamps in the front much like the 220F. The 200SS is said to be powered by a 200cc engine that generates about 25PS of power with 20 Nm of peak torque output. The powerful engine is expected to be mated to a six speed gearbox. Based on spy images, it is believed that the bike may get ABS technology and a digital console with analogue set to the left side, and a complete digital display being positioned to the right. The seats appear to be wider for maximum comfort and good positioning. The bike has received telescopic forks for the front, whereas the rear tyre has received a mono-suspension. The boomerang shaped tail light is also something to look out for. Details on the pricing aspect and launch date shall only be known post an official announcement made by the company in this regard.

Detailed specifications and pricing for the 200 SS has not been revealed for now, the details are expected to be revealed post an official launch by the Indian bike-maker. At the February held 2014 Auto Expo event, Bajaj had unveiled two new bikes namely the Pulsar SS 400 and Pulsar CS 400 to give a visual treat to true blue Pulsar fanatics. As per sources, The Pulsar 400 shall be sold in two versions namely Super Sports and the Sports tourer. Both the bikes shall be powered by a 375cc liquid cooled 4 valve fuel injected engine. The powerful engines shall be mated to a 6 speed gearbox. Pulsar SS 400 and Pulsar CS 400 is said to share some common technological developments as seen with the engine in KTM Duke 390. Bajaj has also not spoken about the pricing for the 400cc bikes and that too may be revealed at a later date.
