Bajaj Auto, the home-grown two-wheeler maker, recently launched the much-awaited Pulsar 200RS (Race Sport) in the country. The company will also launch a half-faired Pulsar AS (Active Sport), which will be positioned between the 200 NS and the RS 200. Now the company is planning to launch the Pulsar 150 NS, SS 400 and CS 400 in the country this year. Interestingly, the company is also working on a new Pulsar 150 AS, which is basically a half-faired version of the 150 NS.

The Pulsar 150 AS is already on test in India, and has been spied several times. Compared to the 200 AS, this bike will get slimmer tyres, drum type rear brakes and other cost cutting features. It will be equipped with the new-generation 150cc DTS-i motor.

The new Pulsar 150 Active Sport will get a neatly styled front quarter fairing that extends sleekly back into a clear visor for better wind protection. The bike features projector-lamp powered headlamp and a new, completely adapted fuel tank. It is expected to get a slim-spoke Pulsar typical-wheels, pillion and rider footrests, backlit switches and split seat.

Powering the Pulsar 150AS will be the same 149.5cc engine that will also power the upcoming Pulsar 150 NS. This engine churns out 17PS of power at 9,000rpm and 13Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. This engine will be coupled to a five-speed gearbox, with shifting in the one-down, four-up pattern. Riding on the 17-inch alloy wheels, the Pulsar 150 AS will get telescopic forks upfront and monoshock suspension setup at the rear.
