2015 Honda CBR 650F expected to be launched early next year, priced under Rs. 10 Lakhs

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has been delivering some of the best bikes for the domestic market. In the past, the brand has witnessed an overwhelming demand for certain automatic scooter and bike models in the country, with waiting periods stretching to months in certain cases. This time around HMSI has been planning on launching the CBR 650F for the domestic market. The bike is likely to be locally assembled and hence may be offered at a lucrative price tag of under Rs. 10 Lakhs.

The upcoming Honda CBR 650F shall be powered by 649cc, 4-cylinder double overhead camshaft (DOHC) engine that is mated to a six speed gearbox. More technical specification on the bike is not known for now and may be known at a later date. The assembling operation is likely be begin early next year at Honda's existing facilities in Haryana, Karnataka and Rajasthan.

The pricing aspect for Honda's CBR 650F is indeed something worth looking out for as currently the HMSI has been importing bikes at a price range between Rs. 14 – Rs. 31 Lakhs. As of now the company does not have any plans to manufacture superbikes in India as the market here is stated to be more commuter-centric, but based on the demand for CBR 650F, the company may consider manufacturing superbikes at a later date.
